Beginning with its Fall 2007 session, Great Play in Stamford, CT expanded its curriculum to include motor skill development classes for 6 to 11 month olds.  The classes are designed as a fun introduction to the world of Great Play, for parents and children alike. 

Drawing from Great Play’s very popular "Beginning Motor Skill Development" program for 1 to 3 year olds, the new classes include stations for developing stability, locomotor skills and manipulative skills; swings; free play time; and circle time with music and socialization.  In addition, Baby Yoga and Swiss ball activities are incorporated.

As with all Great Play programs, the classes are always fun-filled events that ensure the Players have a great time.  But the secret is they are also scientifically based to ensure children develop age appropriate motor skills that help them reach their full physical potential (don’t tell the kids about the science part though, okay!).

The class times are marked wth the letter "A" in the Great Play Schedule.
